More than 13,000 people visited beautiful, sun-splashed Centennial Mall on Sunday, July 29 for the 26^th edition of the University of Toledo Alumni Association’s Art on the Mall. Over 110 artists displayed their wares at this showcase event on the UT campus, everything from oil and watercolor painting, to mixed media, glass and woodworking. 

Winners in several categories were selected by this year’s jury, which came from the Fort Wayne (Ind.) Museum of Art.  Taking top honors were:

Best of Show – Tom Marino

1^st Place – Victor Sergent

1^st Place – L. Sue Szabo

2^nd Place – Michael H. Kersey

2^nd Place – TJ Potter & Penny Atkinson-Potter

3^rd Place – Zachariah Lyons

3^rd Place – Brad Slee

Purchase Award – Karl Fong

The Andersons, Inc., sponsored the Young Artist Area, which allowed children to create their own artwork.  13abc sponsored the music tent, which featured cool jazz throughout the day.  The Toledo Lucas County Port Authority Family Food Court kept attendees well fed throughout the seven-hour extravaganza.

Art on the Mall is held annually on the last Sunday in July.
