’70s

Fred Stull (MA ’74) retired after a more than 20-year career in human resources and is living in Seattle.

’80s
Dr. Kelli R. Brown (Univ Coll ’82, MEd ’84) was named the 12th chancellor of Western Carolina University in Chapel Hill, N.C. She most recently served as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Georgia College and State University. She has more than 30 years of higher education experience.
David Duvall (Bus ’87, Bus ’87) was selected as senior vice president, chief marketing, communications and experience officer at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Mich., one of the nation’s leading comprehensive and integrated health systems.
**Dr. Darrick “Rick” Antell (MED ’81) has been recognized as University School’s 2019 Man of the Year for his philanthropy and outstanding service to the community. He has served as a life trustee at University School, a private boy’s secondary school in Hunting Valley, Ohio, since 2000. Antell owns and operates a premiere private practice as one of the few dual-degree surgeons in New York City, earning his DMD and MD degrees. He and his wife, Lisa, participate in international efforts such as wildlife conservation for big cats. His landmark research of identical twins and the aging process was displayed at the Smithsonian’s Museum of Natural History as part of the Human Genome Exhibit.

*Nick Wittenberg (A/S ’07, Honors ’07, Law ’11) was offered a one-year detail as a legal counsel at The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. He will be working on legal technology policy that will include, artificial intelligence; technology and innovation; national security; cybersecurity; space force initiatives; programs on enhancing the nation’s water security; America’s advancement on STEM; and the implementation of 5G, the next cellular connectivity service. Wittenberg will work for the Office of Science and Technology Policy’s general counsel Rachael Leonard, who has served for three administrations. Wittenberg is the president of the Alumni Association’s Washington, D.C. Alumni Chapter.

*Grant Robinson (Univ Coll ’10, MBA ’12) was appointed senior manager of Jeep Wrangler Paint Operations at the Toledo Assembly Complex for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. He is responsible for safety, quality, cost and environmental issues. He also oversees production, maintenance, quality, and tooling and process engineering. Robinson serves as the president of the Alumni Association’s Jeep Alumni Affiliate.
Dr. Dipali Nemade (MPH ’13) was named Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine’s Resident of the Month for May 2019. She was recognized for her passionate patient care, teaching ability and research acumen. As a member of Marshall’s inaugural class of neurology residents, Nemade is the first neurology resident to be selected as resident of the month. Marshall University is located in Huntington, W. Va.

Megan Sciarini (A/S ’10, A/S ’10) has been named one of the “SCN The Nine” (Systems Contractor News, part of AVNation, the network for the audio-visual industry). She also was featured in an AVNation podcast about getting more young people into the business. Sciarini works at Apple as an AV systems engineer for the company’s retail technologies team at their Cupertino, Calif. headquarters.

Births and Marriages
*Madeline Jarrett (Bus ’16, LAW ’19) and Abram Fuller announced their engagement and plan to wed on Sept. 21 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Sterling, Ohio. Jarrett recently accepted a position with the law firm Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnson in Wooster, Ohio, and Fuller will graduate in December  from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
*Cassie Lorena Bicknell (Pharm ’18, Honors ’18) and William Jared Degen announced their engagement and will exchange vows on Oct. 12 at Blackbird Farms in Columbus Grove, Ohio. Bicknell is currently a student in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at The University of Toledo, and Degen works as a construction laborer at Degen Excavating.

Jacklyn M. “Jackie” (Sobczak) Zydorczyk, Toledo, 62. She was a secretary in the College of Engineering’s Polymer Institute from 1990 to 2009.

*Dr. Mark D. Gallagher (A/S ’79, MED ’84), Toledo, 62. He was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine from 1990 to 2018.

**Richard J. Kozbial (Ed ’57, MEd ’76), Kalamazoo, Mich., 85. He was a faculty member in the Judith Herb College of Education from 1994 to 2002.

Jeanette M. Ostman, Grove City, Ohio, 95. She was a nurse at Maumee Valley Hospital and later at MCO, from 1950 until her retirement in 1978.

Dr. Donald B. Pribor, Toledo, 86. He came to campus as an assistant professor of biology in 1965, was promoted to associate professor in 1972 and to professor in 1975. His early years were dedicated to research on red blood cells and cryobiology. During the 1970s, Pribor started teaching introductory biology courses for non-science majors and found his passion. He integrated the natural sciences with the social sciences and the humanities for his classes, which students dubbed “Priborology.” The Detroit native wrote textbooks for his course. He retired from the University in 2012.

Stanley E. Adamski, Orange City, Fla., 68. He was a former mathematics instructor.

Dr. Mary Louise Oakes (Ed ’70, MEd ’74, Ed Spec ’75), Toledo, 82. She was a chair of the Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women Board for five years.
