*Dr. Steve Howell (MS ’82) has been included in Marquis Who’s Who for professional excellence in astrophysics. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all considered during the selection process. Howell is a senior research scientist at NASA, serving as a member of the Kepler Science Team and specializing in research on variable and binary stars, CCD detectors and instrumentation, and ultra-high precision photometry.
| Nicholas McLeland (Law ’80) was named the prosecutor of Carroll County, Ind. The Republican Party Caucus elected McLeland to succeed his predecessor beginning in January. |  |

*James A. Adams (Law ’90) joined Omnex, Inc. as a consultant and trainer in quality. This position focuses on automotive areas of IATF-16949, quality core tools, Six Sigma and risk management. Omnex, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Mich., is an international consulting, training and software development organization specializing in management systems. |
| Kerry Trautman (A/S ’98) published her third poetry chapbook, “Artifacts.” Trautman was nominated for a Pushcart Prize for her poem “Pixie Cut” in the 2017 issue of Slippery Elm, a literary journal at the University of Findlay. She resides in Findlay with her husband and five children. |  |
Tim Anderson (UTCTC ’99, HSHS ’00) is the county jail administrator, a newly created position in Marshall County, Kan.

Dr. Bethany Harding (MA ’05) is an assistant professor of history and political science at National Louis University in Chicago. She also provides leadership for the Student Success Collaborative with NLU’s Pathways Initiative, which serves to provide academic support for graduates of Chicago public high schools.
